Jeanologia presents two innovative collections 5.Zero: indigo & vintage and All blacks edition, through which the company introduces the sustainable-isation concept, at this week’s Bluezone Munich Fabric Start.
Jeanologia’s technological innovations aim to promote a more reasonable use of natural and human resources in the garment finishing processes. In its intent to make these processes sustainable, the Spanish company offers technological solutions towards a full sustainable-isation of the industry, maintaining quality, product look and the rationalization of production methods.
Environmental footprint
“Our aim is to set 5.Zero finishes (zero discharge, zero manual scrapping, zero potassium permanganate spray, zero stone washing and zero bleach) as the standard in the denim industry, improving appearance and product quality with a neutral cost,” said Carme Santacruz, creative designer at Jeanologia who is in charge of Jeanologia’s collections.
“In this context, with the combined use of our technologies: laser, ozone and e-Flow; along with the right fabric selection, properly tested with our Light Sensitive Fabric tool, it is possible to achieve this.”
The company also notes that the environmental footprint of all developments made at Jeanologia is analysed using the EIM (Environmental Impact Measurement) Software. “This software, developed by the company, measures water, energy and chemical consumption. By doing so, it can be proved that all garments have a low environmental impact, contributing to minimize their environmental footprint and adding to the sustainable-isation of all finishes.”
Collections
The collection 5.Zero indigo & vintage is inspired by the vintage of the 80s, 90s and 2000s and shows how, through the use of Jeanologia’s laser, it is possible to create wear and other effects from the era, saving water and considerably reducing the use of chemicals and energy.
The collection 5.Zero all blacks edition shows the benefits of the eco-technology for developing finishes on black denim. “Combining the use of laser and G2 ozone technology, we enhance the white effect in the used area, avoiding the use of potassium permanganate spray; as well as a washed down effect, without using any chemicals that could be harmful to the environment and workers,” the company concludes.
